Diane currently does part-time work for Hometown Insurance Agency's Association of Mature American Citizens, while pursuing full-time employment. Previous work includes James Lee Witt Associates and the office of Congressman Curt Weldon.
Prior to relocating to the Washington, DC area, she worked in the Anti-Counterfeiting Operations office of Underwriters Laboratories in Melville, NY. She spent fourteen years as a Port Jefferson volunteer firefighter and was active in fire prevention and life safety initiatives throughout Suffolk County, NY. She’s a past-President, Director, and Media Coordinator for the Suffolk County Fire Safety Educator’s Association and is also a member of the Suffolk County Volunteer Firefighter Burn Center Fund.
She has an A.A.S. degree in Criminal Justice from Suffolk County Community College, two B.S. degrees in Fire Science from the University of New Haven, and an M.A. degree in Political Science from the State University of New York at Stony Brook.
Chris Rinck
Christopher Rinck is a Senior at the University of New Haven completing his Bachelors degree in Fire Science with a concentration in arson investigation. Chris has been involved in the fire service since he was fourteen years old in his hometown of Poughkeepsie, NY.
With Chris's time spent at UNH he has held numerous leadership roles that include being a Resident Assistant for two years, President of the Fire Science Club, captain on the men's hockey team and with his latest role is serving as the undergraduate student body President.
Chris began working with the Center in the spring of 2008. He lead a team of 10 university students to Providence, RI for Campus Fire Forum 10 where they served as student ambassadors and helped in any way they could for the duration of the forum.

Peter Steven Mottola
Peter is a junior at the University of New Haven in the Fire Protection Engineering program. His industry Goals are Government Facilitator/Insurance Representative. Peter's special activities include: NFPA, UNH Fire Science Club, UNH Fire and Life Safety Committee.
