Environmental Safety Coordinator

Under the direction of the Group Leader and as a member of the Occupational Health, Safety and Fire Prevention Group, this position has direct responsibility for industrial hygiene, asbestos, lead, indoor air quality, and related programs. Candidates must be dedicated and motivated professionals committed to excellence, campus service, and continuous improvement.  Candidate must be capable of conducting industrial hygiene related samples, use of instruments and training.

We seek a candidate with a commitment to working effectively with students, faculty and staff from diverse backgrounds.

Position requires a bachelor's degree in industrial hygiene, environmental health, health and safety management, or science discipline with experience.  A minimum of one (1) to three (3) years experience in industrial hygiene or combination of education and experience deemed equivalent by the Director of EHS is desirable.  A graduate degree, additional experience, certifications, or additional qualifications are desirable.  Experience in university or R&D environment would be a plus.
